Spring

The rapids in Lake George are at their peak in the spring, as mountains shed their snow and water is released from local dams. This makes spring the perfect time to gather friends and family for a whitewater rafting adventure.

Spring is also an ideal time for camping in Lake George. What a great opportunity to pitch a tent or park your RV in the best location before tourist season is in full swing. To combine a camping and fishing trip, take advantage of trout season, starting with opening day on April 1st of each year. Don't forget to stop by Warren County Fish Hatchery, which keeps the local brooks, ponds, lakes and rivers stocked with rainbow and brook trout.
